Paramparaa – The Tradition Continues…

GSPK RENDERS YEOMAN SERVICE TO THE DEVOTEES

The 46th Ahobila Mutt Jeer Srimad Azhagiya Sringar has presided over a function organised by the Global Stotra Parayana Kainkaryam (GSPK) in the Mutt premises at Selaiyur in Chennai recently, marking the occasion to honour the renowned vedic scholars and experts of Vedanta and 4000 Divya Prabhandam. Azhagiya Sringar also blessed the particpants and awarded the prizes offered by the GSPK founded by Parthasarathy, alias Partha, based in Singapore. It would be pertinent to trace the formation of GSPK as follows:

Global Stotra Parayana Kainkaryam (GSPK) is one of the go-to global platforms dedicated to the propagation of Sanathana Dharma as propounded by Bhagavath Ramanujacharya and expounded by Swamy Nigamantha Maha Desika. It is pertinent to note that within a relatively short-span of 18 months, i.e. since its inception in March 2020, GSPK has carved out a niche for itself by bringing together several illustrious scholars of Vedanta and 4000 Divya Prabhandam hymns by the mystical Tamil saints, Azhwars, and experts in timeless Sanskrit texts like Purana-s, Itihaasa-s, and Stotra-s, who have delivered a wide range of online lectures and discourse series aimed at expounding the most esoteric purports of ancient Indian philosophies in a simplified form for wider reach, appreciation, and adoption.

The viewers would be happy to note that GSPK is currently having more than 7.2K subscribers on their YouTube channel, with over 750k views and 150k hours of playtime. With a longer-term view of catching the next generation young, GSPK also runs Sampradaya Manjari ePatashala (SMeP), a comprehensive one-stop programme to help prepare the children to form a strong foundation and a life-long affinity towards Sanathana Dharma. The emphasis of this programme is not merely teaching scriptural texts but educating the youth to gain a deep understanding regarding the broader significance and importance of the Indian heritage, associated beliefs and practices, besides inculcating   sense of pride in them towards the same.

The GSPK is taking this god-sent opportunity to inform the viewers that students are also offered classes in Tamil and Sanskrit languages, as well as in classical Indian music. For adults who wish to gain an in-depth appreciation and knowledge of the subjects covered through the lectures on their platform, the GSPK is also immensely pleased to offer Certification Courses. Upon successful completion of the courses through due assessments, participants are awarded certificates duly signed by eminent scholars. GSPK also publishes a monthly newsletter magazine in Q&A format, titled “Sudarsanam”. The objective of Sudarsanam, as the name implies, is to help practitioners gain a “righteous and virtuous perspective on Sanathana Dharma and the Hindu belief system”, by clarifying any queries they may have – be they related to their scriptures, ancient traditions, dharmic practices or even to one’s day-to-day activities and daily duties.

Sangoshtee 2021 has been conceptualised to be the inaugural edition of what will be GSPK’s annual flagship event. Starting with the eminent scholars and gurus, who have selflessly dedicated their time and effort to impart the knowledge; the adult aspirants looking to enhance their learning and understanding; and all the way to the most important target group of all their initiatives, i.e. the younger generation of SMeP students who will serve as the future torchbearers of our Dharma – this event is meant to be a once-a-year, face-to-face congregation of every person, who has been touched in one way or the other by GSPK’s activities and who aspires to continue this mutually enriching journey in the propagation and service of the ancient Indian belief system that the devotees hold close to their heart as Sanathana Dharma.
