Paramparaa – The Tradition Continues…

PANGUNI UTHIRAM TO BE CELEBRATED ON 4.4.23

The renowned Sri Lakshmi Narayanan Thirukovil (temple) would be celebrating its ‘PANGUINI UTHIRAM’(Day of Perumal Thirukalyanam)  February 4, this year between 10,30 am to 12.30 pm  at the village Kappur, adjacent to Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu. All are requested to come and get the blessings of ‘Perumal’ and ‘Thayar’ on that fruitful day. It is pertinent to note that the well-known temple celebrated its ‘Maha Samprokshanam on 12th September, 2022 and ‘Annakudai Utsavam’ on February 5, this year, with distinction.

It is important to bear in mind that on the banks of Thenpennai river is ‘Divya Kshetrams’ (Holy temples) of Thirukovalur, Padhur and Parikal. The temple is situated on the banks, about ten kms from the Villupuram Highway, where it is eye-catching and refreshing to find the location of Kappur village in a congenial atmosphere. It is worthwhile to note that for several centuries, the residents of Kappur have been worshipping at “Sri Lakshmi Narayanan Thirukovil” with redoubled vigour and utmost enthusiasm. All are requested to attend and seek the blessings of the Almighty.

The temple, obviously, is in need of funds badly, considering its financial crunch. We would, therefore, fervently request you to contribute for this divine cause to the maximum extent possible by sending your contributions to the following address by either cheque or DD favouring:
