The age-old Sri Lakshmi Narayanan Thirukovil (temple) would be celebrating its ‘ANNAKUDA’ utsavam on February 5, this year at the village Kappur, adjacent to Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu. This festival is celebrated in our temple every year in the month of Thai after performing Theerthavari. All are requested to come and get the blessings of ‘Perumal’ and ‘Thayar’. The well-known temple celebrated its ‘Maha Samprokshanam on 12th September, 2022 with distinction. It is important to bear in mind that on the banks of the Thenpennai River are the divya kshetrams (Holy temples) of Thirukovalur, Padhur and Parikal.
The Lakshmi Narayanan Thirukovil (temple) is the centre of attraction on the banks, about ten kms from the Villupuram Highway, where the significance of the calm and quiet village of ‘Kappur’ is located. It is worthwhile to note that for several centuries, the residents of Kappur have been worshipping at “Sri Lakshmi Narayanan Thirukovil” with renewed vigour and never-ending enthusiasm.The renowned temple is in need of funds badly.
