Garuda Sevai would be performed for Utsavar Sri Varadaraja Perumal at Kappur Lakshminarayanan temple on 2.6.23 at about 7.00 am, marking Sobakirutha vaikasi 19th month. Devotees are requested to participate in the function and seek the blessings of the Almighty. The people are also requested to donate liberally as the ancient and renowned temple is in need of funds badly. It is important to bear in mind that on the banks of the Thenpennai River, are Divya Kshetrams (Holy temples) of Thirukovalur, Padhur and Parikal. The temple is the centre of attraction on the banks, which is situated about ten kms from the Villupuram Highway, where the significance of the calm and quiet village of ‘Kappur’ is amply evident. It is worthwhile to note that for several centuries, the residents of Kappur have been worshipping at “Sri Lakshmi Narayanan Thirukovil” with renewed vigour and never-ending enthusiasm.
